日本社会はすでに多くの外国人労働者、国際結婚などでの定住者や外国ルーツをもつ子ども・若者らが暮らす移民社会となっており、地域では共生に向けたさまざまな取り組みが始まっています。その一方で、日本政府は、従前のままの外国人管理と非正規滞在者の排除、使い捨て労働力としての外国人労働者受入れ政策を変えようとしないどころか、現政権ではさらに管理・監視重視の政策が推し進められてしまっています。

今年の2日間のワークショップは、今年で震災10年を迎える熊本で開催します。地域における移民社会の実態や取り組みの報告をうけ、課題別テーマでの討論を通し、多民族・多文化共生社会のあり方に今改めて立ち返り、私たちがこれからどのような社会をつくっていきたいか、みなさんと考えたいと思います。
